My experience that lead me to losing 125 pounds
The heaviest I ever weighed was 310 pounds. January 5, 2017 I decided I did not want to continue living the unhealthy lifestyle.

Before January 5, 2017
Before I had started my diet I was eating over 3,500 calories a day. I was also drinking around 3 sodas a day which is way too much sugar in one day. It is sad to think that I ate all those calories without eating breakfast. I did work out during this period, but I did not do any cardio mostly just lifting to gain muscle. With the diet I was on at the time I was gaining plenty of muscle, but was also gaining fat. I regret the way I used to live, but at the time I was okay with it.
It is a big topic nowadays over how people live their life if they are overweight. As someone who has been overweight I believe that people can do what they want with their life. The only aspect I do not agree with would be the glorifying and promotion of the lifestyle. At the end of the day people can do what they wish with their life, but I hope they understand the damage they could be doing to themselves.
My transformation process
When I made the decision to make the change I decided to do a calorie counting diet. I decided to eat three meals a day. Each meal would be around 500 calories adding up to 1500 calories for the day. I also gave up drinking drinks that contained calories and sugar. I actually ate the same thing everyday (not including cheat meals). I ate oatmeal for breakfast, A turkey sandwich for lunch (the side varied: fruit, vegetables, goldfish/snack-type foods), and for dinner I ate chicken and rice. This variation of this diet lasted for around 7 months. I still eat around the same amount of calories but after the 7 months I changed it up.
Once a month I would have a cheat day, which would consist of whatever I wanted. It just had to be three meals and no snacking.
While dieting I continued to lift, but also started to do some cardio. I would normally just ride the bike in the gym. I did this for a few months, then I started playing basketball for cardio. This started a newfound love for the sport of basketball which I still play almost everyday.
When dropping my calories per day so much I saw results fairly quickly. As I continued to stay on track I was noticing a major change in weight and I could really see it in my face. A little over a year later I had lost over 100 pounds.
Today
I ended up posting my results on twitter, which ended up going viral and got me in contact with a lot of people wanting help. I think that is on of the reasons it went viral. People also love to see when people make good changes for themselves. I answered a ton of messages and tweets over those few days and helped everyone that I could.
Now I weigh 185 pounds and feel great. I still workout and I still watch what I eat. I will say you get one life and you should enjoy it!!!! To truly gain weight you would have to eat bad on a normal basis. Cheat meals/days are something to enjoy! Enjoy the little things in life.
I just want people to know it is possible.
